Last summer, we put a call out for inventive and inspiring new short films from filmmakers based in the South East. Selected from nearly 100 submissions, the ten short films that make up South East Stories: New Filmmaking Talent all champion impressive cinematic promise and reflect a great cross-section of talent from our region. We spoke to some of our talented local filmmakers about filmmaking and why the South East matters.
This summer, the ICO and Club des Femmes took on a mission to bring revolutionary films about women, by women, to big screens around the UK. The result was Revolt, She Said: Women and Film after '68, our groundbreaking film tour that took thirty venues by storm. We spoke to some of our collaborators about what they found most memorable about their screenings, how it helped them reach new audiences and why the tour's legacy still lives on.
