Screening Days North & North West Central - January 2015

The ICO is delighted to be partnering with Film Hub North and Film Hub North West Central to present a Hub-based Screening Days event on Sunday 25 & Monday 26 January 2015.

This event will showcase key art-house and independent titles scheduled for theatrical release between February 2015 and April 2015 and is open to all staff and volunteers of cinemas, mixed arts venues, film festivals, and film societies.

Choose from a specially selected programme of pre-release films showing at the The Light Cinema, New Brighton.

Film Hub North and Film Hub North West Centralare part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network (FAN). Their role is to bring film, education, community, exhibition, archive and events experts together to offer more choice, more insight and grow new audiences.

The Hubs aim to increase the opportunities to engage with cinema in all its diversity and raise the profile of the cinema sector in their regions.

Terms and conditions

Screening Days North & North West Central is an industry event which is open to people working or volunteering in an organisation whose primary purpose is the exhibition of films to the public.  As all of the films that are being shown at the event are pre-release titles there is a press embargo on the event, which includes social networking sites and film forums.

Travel

Screening Days North West & North West Central will be held at The Light Cinema which is on Marine Point in New Brighton, beside Marine Lake in Merseyside.

It is a 10 minute walk from New Brighton rail station, and the nearest bus stops are located at Marine Point. Buses (numbers 432 and 433) run to Liverpool city centre every 10 minutes.

There is ample parking at Marine Point.

Practical Info

Registration

Registration will open at 8:30am each morning at The Light. You will not need a ticket but will be issued with a badge for the day(s) you are attending. This will be your entry pass into all of the screenings.

The registration area will be staffed by the ICO throughout the event.

Luggage

There will be an area for the delegates to leave their luggage.

Please note luggage will be left at the owner’s risk.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be provided at registration and a free lunch option is available which you can select in advance when booking your pass online.

There are also numerous restaurants nearby as part of the cinema complex, including Hungry Horse, Pizza Express, Marino Lounge, Prezzo, Subway and La Tasca.

Drinks reception

There will be a drinks reception on Sunday evening for delegates to meet and network with fellow exhibitors.
