The golden rule applies – say thank you to anyone who went the extra mile for you. Thank the press for attending and ask them for any feedback that could help you with press relationships next year – were there any logistical problems during their visit? Did they feel like your publicist(s) worked well with them? Were they frustrated with any press communications this year? And so on.
Create a very organised digital archive of all of this year’s press – scans of print articles, jpegs or pdfs of key social media posts, and digital audio files of podcasts and radio coverage. Organise it well, with useful and detailed file names to help you search the archive when you need it. And of course back up it with cloud storage or hard drives.
And finally, tell the press your dates for next year!
