REACH: Strategic Audience Development Online Course

Welcome to the ICO’s REACH: Strategic Audience Development online training course.

During the following six lessons, you’ll hear from some of the industry’s leading experts in audience development to help you increase audiences for your venue or festival. Within this, you’ll find a choice selection of case studies from organisations with exceptional experience reaching young audiences, d/Deaf audiences, and audiences with dementia.

Every cinema and film festival has its core audience – those who will come back to you regularly and without hesitation. However, in an ever-evolving age where the cinema screen is fighting with all manners of other media, many venues are unable to rely on this core audience to keep themselves afloat. It’s more important than ever for your organisation to have its own audience development plan to ensure you’re attracting as wide and diverse an audience as possible, to share in your love of cinema.

In your own time and at your own pace, you’ll gain knowledge, expert insights and new techniques that you can begin using immediately in your venue or at your festival.

Estimated time for completion: 5 – 6 hours
