- Do you want your organisation to reach a wider audience?
- Are you considering how to make your space and marketing more inclusive?
- Do you have many ideas but no structured way to implement them?
This online course offers practical steps to help your organisation to develop a more accessible and inclusive culture and environment for disabled audiences and staff, drawing on insights from the 2024 training programme of the same name.
The programme explores the importance of accessibility through recorded presentations and case studies, and provides a sample Disability Action Plan to adapt.
Throughout, you will find additional links to further resources and guidance.
By the end of this course, you will have learned:
- How to understand the Social Model of Disability
- The range of access needs that an audience member may require
- How to meet this range of access needs
- How to create and develop your own Disability Action Plan
During the course, you’ll also hear case studies from the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC), Birmingham Hippodrome, Scottish Queer International Film Festival, and Matchbox Cine.
Enjoy lifetime access for just £75 and explore the course at your own pace, gaining the flexibility to fit learning into your schedule. With four to five hours of engaging, pre-recorded lessons, you have the convenience of learning whenever it suits you and to revisit topics as often as needed. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate confirming your achievement, helping you to demonstrate your new skills.
