ICO Screening Days April 2014

Calls for submissions

  • Only 3 more days to submit to Reel Walthamstow’s fantastic opportunity offering established artists, animators and filmmakers the chance to win one of three 10,000 moving image commissions.
  • Filmmakers, make sure you have the @BFI London Film Festival submission deadlines firmly in your sights. Shorts deadline 13 June, feature deadline 10 June.
  • Entries are now open to filmmakers of any age, from any country, for @thurrock_film. Deadline 1 June.
  • Do you have a city-based story to tell? The British Urban Film Festival (@buffenterprises) is open for script & short film submissions for its 9th edition. Final deadline 9 June.
  • The Imperial War Museum @I_W_M is calling for submissions to its short film festival, held this autumn. Award categories are Best Documentary and Best Creative Response, and films submitted should be imaginative and challenging works exploring conflict and its impact on people’s lives. Deadline 31 July.
  • @berwickfilmfest needs works from filmmakers and artists for its 10th anniversary programme on the theme: Border Crossing. Deadlines: early bird 30 April, final 16 June.
  • Can you make a film in 90 seconds? DepicT! – the super-short filmmaking competition from @wshed – urges you to try! Deadline 7 July.
  • @asffest 2014 is open for entries from both emerging and established filmmakers in all genres. Deadline 31 May.
  • If you haven’t checked out our obscenely healthy jobs page recently, stop everything. Cinema management, events, FOH, operations, marketing and festival production – there are roles in all of these areas live at the time of writing.
