Sheffield Doc/Fest is looking for five enthusiastic young people between the ages of 18-22 years to be part of its Youth Jury. They participate in celebrating, sharing and debating non–fiction arts as a collective form of engagement and selecting the Youth award winner.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• Successful applicants will attend a two-day Youth Jury Lab in London on 20 & 21 February 2020.-During the Lab you will meet leading organisations from across the industry of production, distribution, curation and exhibition of film.
• Jurors will attend a further one day lab on Tuesday 2 April in Sheffield to finalise their programme nominations and festival preparation.
• Youth Jurors will also receive a Full Festival Pass to attend Sheffield Doc/Fest 2019.
• You will attend screenings of the selected Youth Jury films and a deliberation during the Festival, selecting the winner of the Youth Jury Award 2019.
• UK travel and accommodation costs will be covered for both the London Lab and Sheffield events.
• Each Youth Juror will receive a personal mentorship session at the beginning and end of the programme with the Doc/Fest team.

AVAILABILITY
Jurors need to be available for the following activities:

• 28 or 29 January 2020, Interviews
• 24-25 February 2020, London Lab
• 1 April, Programming in Sheffield
• 4-9 June, Sheffield Doc/Fest 2020
