Aged 19-25? Love films? Want to get involved with the world’s longest continually-running film festival? Edinburgh International Film Festival are looking for ten young adults to join their Youth Advisory Group for their EIFF Youth strand.

The group meet regularly in Edinburgh and for the twelve days of the Festival in June. Participants will help shape the EIFF Youth programme, curate and shortlist the New Visions Film Competition, and receive a Student Delegate Pass for EIFF 2019!

A legacy from the Year of Young People, this expanded strand continues the Festival’s commitment to programming films and events for young audiences interested in filmmaking and the moving image industries.

Youth Advisory Group members will help shape EIFF’s youth events programme and help get more young adults involved with the festival. Participants will also curate the New Visions Short Film Competition – open to all young filmmakers in Scotland. Shortlisted films will be screened at EIFF, with the Youth Advisory Group closely involved with the screenings and award ceremonies. Acting as figureheads for the EIFF Youth strand, group members will also get to co-host events at the Festival.

The Youth Advisory Group will meet regularly at Filmhouse in Edinburgh and during the Festival (19-30 June 2019). Participants will receive a Student Delegate Pass which allows access to Press screenings and Industry events.
