Trustees
Glasgow Short Film Festival
Glasgow
Salary: Unpaid
Glasgow Short Film Festival wishes to recruit new trustees with an interest in short film and talent development.
We would love to hear from you, particularly if you have experience in film production, marketing, accountancy/finance or fundraising.
We are committed to equality of opportunity for all and strive to be inclusive and representative while recognising that this is currently not yet reflected on our board. We therefore particularly encourage applications from people with experience of structural disadvantages and from underrepresented backgrounds and communities.
We will aim to meet any access requirements you might have for the interview as well as future board activity.
As we are a registered charity the role of trustee is unpaid although we are able to reimburse travel expenses. Our board meets approximately 6 times a year for 2 hours at a time. Online attendance is of course possible.
About GSFF
Glasgow Short Film Festival was formed in 2008, initially as a project of Glasgow Film Theatre, and became an independent Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) in August 2019 (Charity Register No. SCO49556). We are currently run by a board of four trustees, a non-voting company secretary, two permanent staff (one of whom is also a trustee) and a seasonal team of short contract staff and freelancers. https://glasgowshort.org/about-the-festival/who-are-we
GSFF is the largest short film festival in Scotland. We champion new film talent by providing a friendly and inclusive showcase and meeting point for new and established Scottish and international filmmakers, industry delegates and the local audience. Our programme celebrates diverse forms of cinematic expression, whether fiction, documentary, animation or artists’ moving image, and foregrounds disruptive, ground-breaking work that transgresses the boundaries of conventional narrative film.
