Technical Manager (seasonal contract)

Salary: £2,000 fixed-fee

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival is for a Technical Manager for the 18th Festival edition which will take place from 3-5 March 2023.

Terms: Freelance, fixed-term January – March 2023

Working hours: Part-time hours worked by negotiation between January and February 2023 in line with the completion of the service deliverables. There is a requirement to work in-person, full-time (including evenings and weekends) over the Festival period, 1 – 5 March 2023.

Place of work: The Maltings, Eastern Lane, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1HU. Flexible, hybrid-working arrangements can be discussed but in-person working will be necessary during the preparation and delivery of the Festival taking place 3 – 5 March 2023.

In the lead up to the Festival you will prepare all films for digital cinema projection, creating DCPs (Digital Cinema Packages) for a proportion of the programme and testing all digital files on receipt. You will ensure all film and subtitle/caption files are ingested onto the cinema server and tested before the Festival.
