About Catford Mews

Catford Mews is a brand-new venue that will embrace Catford’s rich and vibrant culture. We’re transforming a 23,000 square foot former Poundland into a three-screen cinema, live performance space, food market with local vendors, coffee shop, bar and community spaces.

Catford Mews aims to support local businesses and develop a creative community who will be able to work, create and perform all under one roof and reach out to the community through affordable performance and learning. We will be front and centre of the exciting regeneration of Catford.

We are currently building a team of talented and ambitious people to help deliver a vibrant and successful community venue at Catford Mews. This is a unique opportunity to help shape our venue and be a founder member of the Catford Mews team.

About the job

We are looking for skilled and enthusiastic Team Members to play a key role in delivering the opening of our venue to the general public. Our Team Members will be passionate about film, live music and cultural events and we are looking for a range of individuals from all sections of the community. Many of our Team Members will already have plenty of experience working in a similar venue environment with bar and/or cocktail skills. We’re also keen to see applications from enthusiastic candidates who are quick to learn new things as full training will be provided.

We are looking for individuals who are eager to engage with our community and have excellent communication skills. Each and every Team Member at Catford Mews will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of customer service throughout the venue. More specifically, you will work across all areas of the venue, including bar, box office, cinema ushering and support in the delivery of live music and cultural events. You will be expected to support the Venue Manager in maintaining best-in-class presentation and ensuring all health & safety and licensing standards are followed.

Whether you’re a film fanatic, budding mixologist, skilled barista or are just passionate about working at the heart of Catford’s creative community – we’d love to hear from you.
