Team Assistant and Production Manager

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000

Film & Video Umbrella (FVU) is seeking a Team Assistant and Production Officer.

FVU commissions, curates and produces artists’ moving-image works, and presents them in collaboration with galleries and other cultural partners across the UK. We usually commission 5-6 new projects every year.

Since the late 1980s, FVU has been at the forefront of the vibrant and expanding area of moving-image practice, promoting innovation through its support of some of the most exciting figures on the contemporary scene. During this time, the organisation has commissioned and produced nearly 200 different artists’ projects, ranging from ambitious multi-screen installations to short film and video pieces, as well as online commissions.

This is a full-time role.

Main responsibilities:

• To provide administrative and technical support to Film and Video Umbrella’s permanent and project-based teams and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office.
• To work with the Programme Development Director and Freelance Production
  Managers/Producers to ensure that FVU’s productions are delivered to the highest
  artistic quality, to deadline and within budget, providing creative production and
  post-production support and expertise, while ensuring that all legal as well as FVU
  procedures and protocols are followed.
