Strategic Operations Director

Salary: £50,000 (plus bonus)

The Strategic Operations Director is a new role and a tremendous opportunity for a talented and entrepreneurial hospitality professional to drive forward Tyneside Cinema’s trading activities; making a significant contribution to our business development and culture and meeting our financial goals.
This post will develop the Cinema’s Customer facing offer across its 3 outlets (Tyneside Bar Café, Vicolo and Tyneside Coffee Rooms); overseeing the expansion and growing profitability of commercial hires, and the successful delivery of the Cinema’s cultural programme through an integrated approach across the trading and charity companies’ operations.

You will lead the development of attitudes towards, and confident delivery of exceptional customer experience.

Our ideal candidate will combine extensive experience in a hospitality environment with creativity, business acumen and the leadership qualities to seize the opportunities this unique operation affords. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, be able to demonstrate initiative, a can-do attitude and great people skills. You will be sympathetic to the charitable objectives of the Cinema alongside having a track record in delivering results and motivating others to continually improve the bottom line in a sustainable and inclusive culture.
