INDY Cinema Group is seeking a part-time Social Media and Marketing Assistant to join their Edinburgh team.

About INDY Cinema Group

INDY partners with independent cinemas in the UK and abroad, and supports them with a range of services including programming, marketing, point of sale, and remote technical. We are growing rapidly across four countries. We now seek a part time Social Media and Marketing Assistant to join our Edinburgh team.

About the Role

You will mainly work in a very busy commercial cinema services environment. Your work will support INDY’s Marketing team in delivering promotional initiatives and day to day marketing support for our cinema partners in the UK and USA. Our cinemas are a diverse bunch: some of them are straightforwardly commercial, whereas others serve cultural or community objectives alongside their commercial needs. We are looking for someone who is excited by cinema, and who has the breadth of interest to enjoy supporting a wide variety of different exhibitors. Beyond that, we are looking for specific skills and experience to deliver the following work:

  • Collect and collate upcoming film resources and create dynamic and engaging posts, with clear copy writing.
  • Create newsletters and promotions via Mailchimp and Constant Contact.
  • Use of Facebook Business Manager and Creator Studio (experience needed).
  • Use of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (experience needed).
  • Create showtimes posters, leaflets and other print collateral for our cinemas.
  • Maintenance of cinema database in HubSpot for marketing purposes.
  • Liase with our clients in the UK and USA to organise posts, promotions and upcoming show sales.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hard-working, careful, patient, conscientious, and detail-oriented. An interest in movies is essential, as is a natural ability to build interpersonal relationships.

This entry level role is part time for 15 hours a week, with scope to increase in future if our client base continues to grow. This is a Scottish living wage job. Our office is in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will ideally be based in Scotland but could be UK wide if necessary.
