Senior Marketing Manager (NT Live)

Salary: £40,000

The National Theatre are recruiting for an Senior Marketing Manager, to join their Digital Media Department.

The Digital Media department currently delivers the National Theatre Live cinema programme, the National Theatre at Home consumer streaming platform and the National Theatre Collection platform for schools, colleges, universities, and libraries. The National Theatre aims to continue to grow digital reach and revenue and, linked with our strategic and business plan, we are exploring further opportunities to further these objectives.

The Senior Marketing Manager role will be responsible for the creative marketing campaigns of our National Theatre Live programme, ensuring strong sales by nurturing existing customers and attracting a wide range of new audiences. The role line manages one Marketing Manager and will hold key external relationships with media agencies, theatres and distribution partners and be a brand champion for the programmes in its responsibility. The post-holder will also contribute to department-wide initiatives for audience development work, access and strategies for engaging audiences online through digital content and social media.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Substantial experience of working at a managerial level within the cultural, entertainment, film or cinema sectors. With line management experience.
• Significant experience of developing and executing through-the-line marketing campaigns that reach and drive cinema audiences.
• Extensive experience of building commercial relationships and managing a wide range of stakeholders, including agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable pitching, presenting and negotiating. Copywriting skills and experience of proof reading.
• Drive and self-motivation, and the ability to think creatively.
