Sales Executive

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Protagonist Pictures is seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive/Sales Manager (title dependent on experience) to join their dynamic team.

Based in the UK, the company handles films from around the world, always maintaining a strong focus on filmmakers with exceptional vision and storytelling skills. Recent titles include Sound of Metal (Darius Marder), Censor (Prano Bailey-Bond), Official Competition (Mariano Cohn and Gaston Duprat) and In The Earth (Ben Wheatley). We have previously represented works by established filmmakers including Yorgos Lanthimos, Taika Waititi, Sean Baker and Andrea Arnold, and introduced exciting new names into the international marketplace such as Rose Glass, Brady Corbet and Will Oldroyd.

The role

Responsibilities will include generating new sales leads and identifying strategic opportunities, writing copy, negotiating and closing distribution deals, generating sales estimates, maintaining availabilities and rights management systems, reporting to filmmakers and financiers, and overseeing the end-to-end sales process by working in close collaboration with relevant teams for invoicing, delivery and business affairs. Travel to some film markets required.

A competitive candidate will have a minimum of 6-12 months experience in international sales, excellent interpersonal skills, good commercial and creative instincts, be extremely detail oriented, and a good team player. Experience in iRights is a plus, and foreign languages are highly desirable. Experience attending the major markets in person is also a plus, even if your last physical attendance was as a Sales Assistant or Coordinator.

Territories the candidate will be looking after will include Asia, CEE, CIS plus additional territories.
