The BFI is seeking a Rights & Contracts Manager to meet the developing needs of the BFI in its diverse areas of endeavour including sales, video publishing, acquisitions, rights enforcement, music rights, archive & footage sales, and new ventures.

About the role

This role will negotiate or advise on the negotiation of the best terms for BFI agreements working with stakeholders across the organisation. The role also undertakes rights management working with the BFI’s external rights enforcement agents and third party platforms.

The successful candidate will have undertaken substantial training in one or more areas directly relevant to the role for example in copyright law, contract law, or film distribution; and will have proven experience of negotiating and drafting rights sales, distribution or acquisition agreements, including legal drafting skills.

The role is predominantly based at Stephen Street, however, in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic all team members are currently working remotely from home until 22 September, after which there will be a flexible mix of on-site and at home working.
