Projectionist

Close-Up is seeking a part-time projectionist to oversee projection in our 40-seat cinema.

Applicant must have flexible availability including nights, weekends and occasional mornings. Screenings are held seven days a week.

Desirable experience & attributes: 

• Ability to handle and project from a wide array of digital formats (Blu-ray, ProRes, PowerPoint presentations etc.) as well as occasionally HDCam, DigiBeta etc.
• Experience as a projectionist in both analogue and digital cinema, including but not limited to 35mm, 16mm and DCP.
• Calm, friendly and professional demeanour working in an often high-stress environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix problems under pressure.
• Professional and easygoing attitude in working with outside clients including filmmakers, production houses, distributors, festivals etc.
• Experience in handling archival material.
• Experience with Linux.
• General proficiency with computers and electronics.

We are looking for someone to start beginning of October.
