Future of Film is seeking a motivated Project Manager/Event Producer to take the lead in executing FOF Incubator West Africa.

This year, we’re embarking on an exciting endeavour – Future of Film Incubator West Africa. Working in close collaboration with our key partner in Benin, this groundbreaking program aims to cultivate new storytelling talent and projects in Benin and Nigeria, fostering creative growth and innovation. The format, process and approach will be similar to FOF incubator.

Role overview

We’re seeking a motivated Project Manager / Event Producer to take the lead in executing FOF Incubator West Africa. Reporting to the Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the project and successful delivery of content production.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director to finalise the FOF Incubator West Africa program of events, activities, and content.
  • Maintain open communication with the filmmaking cohort, ensuring their awareness of program details.
  • Facilitate interviews, meetings, and events coordination.
  • Engage with talent and manage relationships with sponsors and partners.
  • Work closely with the principal partner in Benin, a publicly funded innovation campus.
  • Coordinate with online platform hosts for smooth Summit delivery.
  • Create the final Summit program and compose necessary copy.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in producing online and in-person events.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French (Excellent).
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, backed by relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with engaging talent across different levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience in producing email newsletters.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Copywriting skills.
  • Independent decision-making ability and leadership qualities.
  • Passion for the evolution of screen storytelling.
  • Preferred experience in implementing creative training programs.
  • Preferred experience of working with West African organisations
