Programming Assistant (Voluntary)
Cheap Cuts Documentary Film Festival
London
Salary: Unpaid with travel expenses during festival
We’re looking for a programing assistant to join our small team and help with the task of film selection for the 2018 edition of the festival. Cheap Cuts Documentary Film Festival is the only short documentary film festival in the UK and this will be our third edition. The festival is a not for profit organisation and we are particularly interested in promoting the work of independent film makers and those working towards using documentary as a means of social and political action. As a programming assistant you will be responsible for helping to shape the 3 day event which will take place at the Cinema Museum in London in April 2018.
We are looking for someone with a passion for documentary film who has the time to commit between 10-15 hours per week to watching films, providing critical feedback and general admin to assist with the structuring of the festival. This can all be done remotely, providing you have reliable and frequent Internet access. If you are London based, this is preferable but definitely not essential. We would like to have monthly meetings where possible, but arrangements can be made if not based in London.
