Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Programme Coordinator role sits at the heart of planning and delivering film programmes across the Filmhouse and Belmont Cinemas, and plays a supporting role across a wide range of individual programming initiatives, supporting the Programme Manager and the Head of Programming in every aspect of the department’s work.

They manage relationships externally with programmers, filmmakers, distributors, and event participants, and collaborate internally with technicians, front of house and other staff ensuring successful delivery thereof. Among other duties, the Programme Coordinator will also stand in when necessary for Programme Officer(s) in any area of the department’s work, including speaking for the department at meetings with other departments and senior staff.

The work may span Filmhouse, Belmont Filmhouse, client sites, corporate hires, one-off projects including major nationwide touring programmes, the provision of services to smaller exhibitors and festivals, our theatrical distribution and VoD operations, or any other initiative taken on by the department.
