Leeds Film is looking for a Programme and Outreach Officer to coordinate the development and delivery of film programming and community outreach for Leeds International Film Festival (LIFF) and year-round LIFF activities.

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of Leeds Film which organises Leeds International Film Festival, Leeds Young Film Festival and the INDIs Film Festival, and year-round activities. Leeds Film is part of the Arts, Events & Venues service at Leeds City Council which also organises Light Night Leeds, Leeds International Concert Season and Leeds International Beer Festival, and operates Leeds Town Hall, Carriageworks Theatre and Millennium Square. Leeds Film is currently based at Carriageworks Theatre.

The Programme and Outreach Officer is responsible for coordinating the development and delivery of film programming and community outreach for Leeds International Film Festival (LIFF) and year-round LIFF activities. The job will focus on reaching underrepresented and underserved audiences in Leeds and West Yorkshire through the film programme and community outreach as part of LIFF and year-round activities. The job will also support, help service, and contribute to all programming.

Contract: Temporary until 31 March 2026
Hours: 37 per week (please note this role could be undertaken as a job share)

About you

As Programme and Outreach Officer, you will bring to the role:

  • a passion for film culture
  • a strong interest in film programming and reaching new audiences for film
  • experience of programme and/or project development and delivery in film or the arts
  • experience of creating and developing new partnerships with a variety of organisations
  • the ability to develop and implement programme and/or project ideas and solutions
  • excellent administrative, organisational, and time-management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
