Salary: £36,747 to £43,422

The BFI is seeking a Production Inclusion Manager to work across the BFI Film Fund, Inclusion and Skills teams and other partners such as ScreenSkills, BBC Films, and Film4 to identify the challenges and coordinate strategies that can result in real change for employment opportunities for underrepresented groups in the production sector across the UK.

By reaching out to producers, Head of Departments and the wider industry, this role informs BFI teams on strategies and schemes that can support underrepresented job progression and retention in the industry.

Skills & experience:

  • Significant production experience and a thorough knowledge of the UK independent film production sector including knowledge of facility companies and relevant crew
  • Experience of devising and implementing a successful diversity strategy, or scheme, in a creative environment
  • Proven experience of monitoring, analysing and reviewing wide scale programmes, and the ability to make recommendations for future revisions

Acknowledging the imbalances in representation in the film industry, we strongly encourage applications from all sectors of society to accurately reflect the local and wider demographic, and especially from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, and those who consider themselves to be disabled. Under the BFI’s guaranteed interview scheme applicants who self-identify as BAME and/or disabled and demonstrate that they meet the minimum requirements will be invited to interview.

The role is predominantly based at Stephen Street, however, in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic all team members are currently working remotely from home until the foreseeable future. The BFI supports flexible working.

You will enjoy benefits such as our pension scheme, excellent support for working parents, 28-33 days annual leave, tickets to BFI festivals and events plus many others.

First interviews will be held remotely on Thursday 14 or Friday 15 January 2021.
