Arrow Films is looking for an experienced Product Manager to work chiefly across its upcoming home entertainment film and TV release slate, and to also be across some elements of its brand marketing strategies over its various labels and channels.

A leading independent entertainment distribution company, Arrow Films now releases in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, USA and Canada, and is dedicated to supporting upcoming and established filmmakers of dynamic and bold cinema across its main Arrow Video and Arrow Academy labels.

With a view to a focus primarily across Arrow’s upcoming ‘New Release’ product, the successful candidate will work within the Marketing department, reporting to the Head of Marketing.

The role will require full lifecycle management of the release, from working closely with Arrow’s Production, Operations and Sales teams to devise release plans and budgets through to daily management of the Marketing Plan, including liaising with PR, Social and Creative agencies, and booking / executing media plans.

Previous experience of managing a release across all platforms – from the occasional theatrical through to physical, digital transactional and digital subscription – and across multiple territories, is highly desired.

The role requires keen product knowledge and is a mix of remote home working with one day a week at Arrow’s Hackney or Shenley office with regular interaction with key internal departments and relevant agencies and third-party partners.

This is a full-time role on a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities

  • Creation and management of effective New Release Marketing plans that drive all key formats and platforms.
  • Responsibility across budget and financial reporting, ensuring strong analysis of both product and the marketplace to maximise revenues.
  • Management of external agencies including PR and Social Media agencies, Creative assets, and Media Planning.
  • Working alongside internal resource within the Marketing and Sales team and close liaison with our Production team on creating relevant physical and digital release packages.
  • Liaison with licensors /filmmakers throughout the lifecycle of the release.
  • Support across our Brand Marketing Plans across our relevant key brands and promotions.
  • Support across Arrow Channels Marketing Plans across our SVOD Channels in the UK, US and Canada.

Qualifications & experience required

  • 3-4 years’ experience working in a Marketing Manager or Product Manager role within the Home Entertainment sector.
  • Experience of setting and managing Release Plan budgets, with regular reporting into the Line Manager and Finance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of both physical and digital release models.
  • Knowledge and experience of theatrical multi-platform and Day-and-Date release models is desired.
  • Experience of working with external Media Planning agencies and booking ads direct.
  • Experience of working closely with external PR, Social and Creative agencies.
  • Strong knowledge across the Microsoft Office suite of applications, and familiarity with internal communication and planning systems such as Teams and / or Asana.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and any other relevant creative software would be advantageous.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with licensor, filmmakers and third-parties.
  • The ability to generate and present new ideas.
  • A solid understanding of the Home Entertainment industry, and familiarity with Arrow products.
  • Passionate about film and television, in particular to independent genre and arthouse content.
  • A positive and friendly attitude with a keen sense of humour.
