Salary: Fixed Fee: £3300 (30 days @ £110 p/d)

Open City Documentary Festival is currently looking for a Print Transport Coordinator to join the team delivering the 2020 edition of the festival, to be held online.

They will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of all screening materials and preparing them for online exhibition. The Print Transport Coordinator will report directly to the festival’s Technical Manager.

Open City Documentary Festival is seeking individuals with a good knowledge of digital file formats and ideally previous experience working within a festival or film events environment. We actively encourage applications from candidates who are currently underrepresented in the Film & TV industries, especially from Black, Asian, Indigenous and Latinx candidates (and those who identify under the banner of People of Colour).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate delivery of all film screening files to the Festival, ensuring all films are received in a timely fashion and to the required specifications.
Be responsible for QC’ing of all screening files as directed by the Technical Manager.
Compile content into single screening files as required and coordinate upload of final delivery files to online festival platform.
Input to Procedure sheets as required by Technical Manager.
Assist Technical Manager with content production (event slides, recorded Q&A and Intro’s)

DURING FESTIVAL

  • Ensure the online screening programme runs smoothly and to schedule and that all screening events are ‘live’ and available as advertised.
  • Be the main point of contact for technical queries relating to the screening programme.

AFTER THE FESTIVAL

  • Complete Print Transport wrap report
  • Handover any outstanding file management and format return matters to Festival Technical Manager.

Job Details

Our team is currently working remotely for the foreseeable future but access to the office in Bloomsbury will be possible from August if required. Normal working hours are from 10am-6pm however weekend work and flexible working hours will be required during the festival dates. You will need to provide your own computer due to remote working. You will need to be registered as self employed.
