Pre-Selector

The Clapham International Film Festival is seeking pre-selectors to watch film submissions in advance of this year’s festival.

The festival is receiving a record number of submissions and requires assistance with analysing films. The role is to view films that have been sent in and provide a rating and your thoughts. These thoughts will be kept private to those involved in the selection process.

We are interested in a variety of perspectives when analysing the films, and our main criteria is quality. We keep an open mind to each film sent in and evaluate how the filmmaker has told their story with the resources available to them.

There are further opportunities to get involved with the actual festival programming based on engagement with the pre-selection process and general interest.

Successful applicants will be expected to give a couple of hours each week to watch films and leave notes. There will be an onboarding call to go through the process, and it’s actually quite fun to do. If you have a link to Clapham, then even better.
