The BFI is seeking a Policy Analyst to provide analysis and policy advice to support the growth and development of the UK Screen Sector as it relates to their role as lead body for film and the moving image.

Fixed Term Contract until 31 December 2022

Key responsibilities
  • Work with colleagues to contribute to the development of a clear strategic policy programme aligned with BFI, industry and government priorities
  • Lead on policy development in areas which help the BFI deliver on its responsibility as lead body for film and the moving image in the UK
  • Maintain and build strong collaborative relationships across government departments and with industry to help inform and communicate the BFI’s policy agenda in these areas
Experience and skills
  • Knowledge of working structures and policies of Government departments, UK screen industry bodies, and an awareness of the creative industries landscape
  • Understanding of current public policy objectives and an ability to apply them to film and the wider screen industries (film, television and games)
  • Experience of contributing to the development and delivery of evidence based policy interventions

The role is predominantly based at BFI Stephen Street, however, in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic all team members are currently working remotely from home until the foreseeable future.
