Part-time Technician (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £17,197 pro rata per annum

Showroom Workstation is looking for Technician to join the technical team. The post holder will be responsible for delivering a very wide range of film screenings (including DCP, 35 mm and other formats), conferences, festivals and one-off events such as talks and seminars. The technical team also provide technical support throughout the organisation, including lightbulb changing and other small maintenance items.

In support of the Technical Manager, Technicians deliver all aspects of theatrical and technical presentation at the Showroom cinema and for any events in the café/bar and Workstation. Technicians liaise with other staff members from all departments to ensure that events run smoothly.

Contracted hours: 16 hours per week minimum. This may include bank holidays. Shifts are expected to be between 8 am and 12 midnight, but due to the nature of our business these times could vary significantly, particularly during festivals.

Showroom Workstation is an independent charity, operating an integrated media arts complex with café/bar, conference and events facilities, four-screen cinema and creative industries managed workspace.
