Operations Manager (Maternity cover)

Cambridge Film Festival

Cambridge

Salary: £26,000 per annum pro-rated

Cambridge Film Festival is looking to recruit an experienced and energetic Operations Manager who will play a central role in the small Festival team and the Cambridge Film Trust more broadly.

About Cambridge Film Festival

Cambridge Film Festival (CFF) is presented annually by the Cambridge Film Trust (CFT), a registered charity with a remit to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public in Cambridge, the Eastern region and throughout the UK .

The Festival is the 3rd longest running film festival in the UK and the team is currently working towards the 40th edition to be held in cinema between 18 and 25 of November 2021, supported by an extended online programme.

The role

We are looking to recruit an experienced and energetic Operations Manager who, working hand in hand with the senior Festival management team, and reporting to the Board of Trustees, will play a central role in the small Festival team and the Cambridge Film Trust more broadly, overseeing the smooth running of the Festival and the Trust’s year-round activity and working across three main areas of responsibility: management, administration and funding & partnerships.

Working for the CFF offers an invaluable experience in the operation of an established and successful Film Festival.

The successful candidate will be proactive and have strong organisational and administrative abilities, with close attention to detail alongside good IT skills. They will have excellent communication skills, as well as experience in a project or event management environment. A flexible approach to work is essential as well as the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines while managing their own workload with minimal supervision.

Contract: Fixed term contract, from July/August 2021 (as soon as the candidate can start) until March 2022.

Please note: Initial contract is for 8/9 months based on funding, there is the (very likely) probability of this becoming a 12 month contract, and the possibility of extending beyond maternity cover as we recruit for the 2022 Festival team.
