MUBI Releases Video Encoding Specialist

The MUBI Releases Video Encoding Specialist will report to the MUBI Releases Encoding Manager.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of variety of content for screenings, events and online use
• Quality assurance checks of received, as well as in-house created content
• Conforming content to adhere to platform specifications, including frame rate conversions and simple audio editing
• Working closely with the Localisation team on foreign-language versioning of our titles
• Assisting in DCP content preparation and mastering

The ideal candidate

You have a good knowledge of what’s entailed in film production, and are familiar with technical demands of modern film distribution. Your experience with digital media systems, including video editing, conversion and encoding allows you to make improvements to already existing workflows. You can also demonstrate a good familiarity with audio editing, conforming and compliance checks for a range of audio types, and have done simple audio mixing in the past.

You have a solid understanding of broadcast and post-production techniques, as well as 4K workflows and newer media formats related to home entertainment, and keep a close eye on industry trends and upcoming technology.

Above all else, you are a quick and autodidact learner and can adapt to any technical challenge thrown at you.
