Thanks to National Lottery players, NSMM recently received initial support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to start developing new Sound and Vision galleries. Sound and Vision: a £6 million project to highlight key objects and stories from our world-class collections of photography, film, television, animation, videogames and sound technologies.

As part of the Sound and Vision project, we’ll work in close consultation with local communities to make the museum the cultural cornerstone of many key projects in and around the city, including Bradford’s bid to be the City of Culture in 2025, the city’s culture strategy Culture is Our Plan, and the commitment to building a digital economy.

NSMM also houses Pictureville, a 3-screen cinema operation which includes Europe’s first IMAX. It hosts an exciting and diverse mix of the best in classic and new Cinema releases, and its success is key to both Commercial Enterprises and the wider success of the Museum.

Our Marketing and Communication teams have a critical role to play in increasing our reach, driving footfall, promoting our brand and ensuring our programming is audience focused.

About the role

To support the team reach its ambitious goals, we seek a Marketing Manager! You will be primarily responsible for income and footfall driving campaign activity – centred around the museum’s public programme and commercial experiences.

You will be a key figure in championing the new visual identity and the use of our CRM system to help us improve the visitor experience and promote customer loyalty.

The team currently work to a hybrid working pattern, and the role offers an opportunity to work from home. You will be manager to line reports and will work alongside your team when onsite.

  • Contractual hours: 35 per week
  • Basis: Full time
About you

With experience using a CRM system and CRM data management, you will bring a range of experience of planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns to drive income and footfall. You have managed marketing budgets previously and line management or experience of supervising and motivating the work of others will be advantageous.

You are organised and efficient, with a track record of managing multiple projects in a busy environment. You’ll have strong communication skills with a creative approach and will be able to write interesting and persuasive copy.
