Marketing Manager



Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE

CinemaLive is seeing an experienced, creative and enthusiastic marketing professional with a passion for live events, cinema and entertainment.

As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the overall marketing strategy for CinemaLive and delivering innovative campaigns for a varied slate of unique cinema events. You will need to manage a marketing budget and have great communication and management skills which you can apply to all facets of the role. The position will require you to work closely with cinemas, content providers, external marketing and PR agencies as well as the creative team to drive box office revenue in all releasing territories. Reporting to the Head of Acquisitions and Distribution, this role oversees one full time Marketing Executive and a part time Marketing Assistant.

CinemaLive is a dynamic and ambitious event cinema distributor, releasing world-class music, theatre, opera and arts content into cinemas worldwide. Recent successes include live concert broadcasts from Take That, Westlife and Cliff Richard and recorded events with Opera Australia, Northern Ballet, Billy Connolly, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and BBC Films, to name but a few. CinemaLive has an exciting year ahead and need someone brilliant to drive our marketing forward and deliver results.

As part of the role you will:

  • Create tailored media strategies for events from planning to execution, delivering within budget and to deadline.
  • Develop and manage creative materials for each event.
  • Take responsibility for running all paid media campaigns, including digital, print, OOH and radio.
  • Manage the PR strategy across B2C and B2B activity, leading external PR teams to promote our events.
  • Liaise with content providers at a senior level, secure access to talent and ensure the smooth delivery of campaigns.
  • Build relationships with exhibition marketing teams to drive marketing support.
  • Manage sub-distribution teams and cinemas in international territories to localise marketing strategies and creative assets.
  • Lead the strategy across CinemaLive’s digital and social channels, to deliver brand consistency and growth.
  • Represent CinemaLive at key industry events and conferences.
  • Assist in the acquisition process, creating and presenting marketing strategy proposals as required.
  • Use campaign analytics to build on campaign learnings and share with the wider CinemaLive team.

  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Proven marketing experience across the full marketing mix.
  • To be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Creativity and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • A strong interest in culture, films, theatre and music.
