Marketing and Sales Director

Salary: £45,000+ (dependent on experience)

Tyneside Cinema is seeking a new Marketing and Sales Director.

As the Marketing and Sales Director, you will be accountable for the strategic leadership of marketing across the full scope of Tyneside Cinema’s activities. Your marketing strategies will deliver demonstrable value in terms of brand awareness and engagement, and your success will be measured by the revenue generating activities that span this unique organisation. This includes growing audiences and box office sales, attracting customers to Tyneside Cinema’s three onsite food and beverage outlets and supporting event hires across a range of spaces.

Delivering revenue streams through charitable giving, is fundamental to your role, and you will be accountable for the growth of the cinema’s fundraising activities, specifically individual and corporate giving.

You will also lead audience development strategies to ensure Tyneside Cinema is enjoyed by people from diverse backgrounds and communities; attracting new audiences and increasing repeat attendance. You will execute your strategy through multi-channel marketing activity. Through your
understanding of our customers, and the journeys they make with our brand, you’ll develop and optimise brand assets and touchpoints.

You’ll play a leading role in the ongoing transformation of the cinema, its culture, processes and technology. And, as a proactive, accomplished people manager, you’ll play an essential role in shaping the talent and capabilities of a diverse and talented team.
