Job description

Administrative, office management, creative and strategic support to the Director of Marketing and Distribution of a leading Film Sales Company.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time

Main responsibilities

Marketing and Distribution

  • Engaging with international distributors about their assets and release plans, including P&A, box office, poster and trailer
  • Tracking box office of both Cornerstone titles and comparable and competitive titles to circulate internally and to key stakeholders
  • Supporting the Marketing Director with positioning research and planning, market data analysis and competitive intelligence for Cornerstone’s slate
  • Background research on new acquisitions to feed into sales strategies
  • Organising key assets for delivery, liaising with servicing team for all marketing deliverables
  • Keeping Cornerstone website and social media up to date
  • Keeping all sites, portals and public facing information about the company up to date, including ensuring our branding is used appropriately
  • Tracking and sharing important sales and distribution news
  • Keeping Cornerstone’s screening and meeting platforms up to date

Markets and Festivals

  • Market prep and logistics: booking offices, accommodation, flights, furniture, screenings, events
  • Supporting the Marketing Director in preparing mailouts, brochures, invites for screenings and events, script packages
  • Working with Sales Coordinator to prep supplies needed for market offices and, when required, manning the office reception at markets such as Cannes, AFM and Berlin
  • Supporting Publicity Consultant with logistics for festival premieres and junketing
  • Liaising with Marketing Director on planning festival strategies in unsold territories.
  • Liaising with servicing team for screening materials
  • Handling festival and market submission forms
  • Managing festival requests for library titles

Office Management and General responsibilities:

  • Together with the Sales Coordinator being the first point of contact for the company – answering phones, taking messages for all staff and greeting guests
  • Liaising with building facilities on practical office management issues
  • Handling and monitoring office accounts including, mobile phones, subscriptions etc…
  • Dealing with any technological problems/requirements – mobile, computer, laptop, email
  • Submitting funding applications, tracking deadlines for these
  • Logging invoices, receipts and expenses for non-sales related transactions, and where directed creating invoices and completing order forms
  • Running general errands
Skills and experience
  • At least 12 months office experience, preferably associated with feature film sales, distribution, production and/or creative agencies
  • Strong IT skills especially Office 365 (Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat and bespoke in-house systems
  • Experience with Photoshop and InDesign highly desirable
  • Good research and analysis skills with ability to present information in a clear and comprehensive manner
