Salary: €72,500

The Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival is looking  for an experienced and motivated Managing Director to lead and shape the future of the Festival.

Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) is Ireland’s premier film event and has built a formidable reputation for delivering the very best in international film and film talent to Irish and International audiences each year. This year, DIFF celebrates its 20^th Anniversary, bringing exciting thrilling and diverse cinema to cinemas and venues across Dublin as well as directly into thousands of homes with its online screening platform.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Managing Director to lead and shape the future of this iconic Festival.

The Role

Reporting to the Board, the Managing Director will be responsible for the stability and growth of the Festival, through sound financial management, a commercially focused strategy and excellent organisational skills.

Integral to the success of the annual Festival, the Managing Director will be experienced in running a fast – paced organisation, with experience of working in the charitable sector, or the equivalent transferable skills to step into this role easily. You will be suitably qualified by experience or other, to work with multiple budgets and manage financial operations on a daily basis. You will be strategic in your approach to managing key stakeholders, including sponsors and partners, funders and public bodies. In addition, you will enjoy the diverse operational aspects of the role across HR, finance, marketing and fundraising and will invest time to retain and recruit annual Festival staff.
