Library Assistant

Salary: £22,494

The BFI is looking for a Library Assistant to support the Senior Librarian – Reader & Mediatheque Services in the provision of a proactive frontline service for all visitors to the BFI Reuben Library. The Library Assistant will undertake general library duties, such as shelving, tidying, processing and other stock maintenance, participating in the rota allocation working alternate Saturdays and regular late shifts closing the library at 7pm.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years’ experience in a library, or similar environment; a demonstrable commitment to the wider profession, and a good general knowledge of film, television and the moving image and its literature.
