The BFI is seeking an XR Production Coordinator to join its Festivals team for the 66th BFI London Film Festival.

LFF Expanded is the BFI London Film Festival’s XR and Immersive Art strand, exploring new forms of visual storytelling across virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, immersive audio and more.

Key responsibilities

The XR & Immersive Production Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the XR & Immersive Production Manager, Festivals Producer and XR Programmer on delivery of the strand, from conception through to live event, including:

  • Support on the development and delivery of physical and virtual access points, including a large-scale exhibition
  • During the festival, support on the delivery of XR programme, including acting as a key member of the team operating the physical exhibitions and installations.
  • Administrative support to the team in the lead-up and throughout the festival.

Skills & experience 

  • Demonstrable experience of working with XR and immersive technologies
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage and meet challenging deadlines
  • A passion for and working knowledge of, storytelling through immersive technology
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach, delivered within a best practice framework
