The BFI are seeking an XR & Immersive Senior Production Coordinator to join their Festivals team for the 67th BFI London Film Festival.

Fixed Term Contract: 04 July – 27 October 2023

We are seeking an XR & Immersive Senior Production Coordinator to join our Festivals team for the 67th BFI London Film Festival. You will be working closely with the LFF XR & Immersive Production Manager, Festivals Producer and XR Programmer on LFF Expanded.

LFF Expanded is the BFI London Film Festival’s XR and Immersive Art strand, exploring   new forms of visual storytelling across virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, immersive audio and more.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Take a lead role on the production and operational delivery of the Festival’s LFF Expanded programme
  • Take a lead role in the delivery of the festival’s physical XR exhibition including staff scheduling and briefing, working alongside the festival’s production partners on the technical management of the exhibition, and acting as a venue-lead alongside leading on the delivery of any digital/online touch points.
  • Support the XR and Immersive Production Manager and Festivals Producer by undertaking a range of event administration and data entry tasks, in an accurate and efficient manner

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience working in a cultural organisation or festival in a events or production role, including demonstrable experience of working with XR and immersive technologies.
  • Sound knowledge of XR technologies, file formats and devices
  • A passion for and working knowledge of, storytelling through immersive technology.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach, delivered within a best practice framework
  • A forensic attention to detail with the ability to process and format large amounts of information into clear datasets
