The BFI is looking for a Delegate Services Manager to be responsible for the overall management of the delegate experience at the BFI London Film Festival. From sales of passes to ease of access to the Industry & Professional programme both in cinemas and online.
BFI London Film Festival runs an Industry & Professional Programme of screenings, events, networking and marketplace for around 3,500 film industry professionals alongside the main public festival. The programme is delivered in cinema and virtually and access is via a Delegate pass which needs to be purchased online beforehand.
Fixed Term Contract: 5 August – 8 November 2024
Key responsibilities include:
- Line manage the Delegate Services team as per the BFI’s Performance Management Scheme.
- Work with the Head of Festivals, Business and Production, Filmmaker and Industry Services Manager and Marketing Team to promote the sale of delegate passes and achieve income sales target.
- Work with the Systems Co-ordinator to oversee systems for processing delegate registration forms, making payment for passes, producing delegate badges, e-communications, virtual screenings and events, and maintenance of the delegate database are running smoothly, and delegates are able to navigate these systems with ease.
- Create and manage the team to implement a clear communications strategy for all delegates from registration to participation in the Industry & Professional Programme and post Festival evaluation.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Demonstrable experience of line management and leading teams to deliver successfully against objectives set.
- Demonstrable experience of working as manager on large-scale festivals or events.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage and meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive and customer-focused approach delivered within a best practice framework
- Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve sales income.
- Evidence of proven project management skills/experience
- A proven track record of promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly Word and Excel.
