The British Film Institute is looking for a Legal & Business Affairs Manager.
About the role
Working in our busy Business Affairs department and reporting directly to the Director of Legal and Business Affairs. You will be principally responsible for negotiating, drafting and reviewing legal documentation, and providing legal and business affairs advice and support to the BFI’s Film Fund. This Fund supports creativity, innovation, new talent and ‘cutting edge’ feature film making.
You will be a qualified film and media lawyer, with demonstrable expertise in film financing, production and distribution deals. You will have the ability to meet deadlines in a commercial and dynamic environment and to handle a spread of projects across the range of the Film Fund’s activities.
As well as this, you will have excellent drafting skills and relevant PQE in commercial and entertainment law, sound knowledge of copyright and contract law and strong and demonstrable negotiation skills.
