Lead Chef

Salary: £32,000

Phoenix Cinema, Leicester is looking to hire a Lead Chef to be responsible for the operational and creative aspects of running a busy kitchen.

This is an exciting time to join us as we begin operating from our brand new cafe bar and state-of-the-art kitchen. Our new Cafe Bar has over 150 covers, with freshly prepared food being served every day from 11am to 9pm. We will also be introducing a food service to our rooftop terrace in the spring, which has space for up to 100 covers and its own bar. Alongside our Café Bar and rooftop terrace we also have a hospitality service for events and conferences.

As Lead Chef you will be responsible for key aspects of the kitchen operation and leading on the creativity in our kitchen:

• Delivering an excellent food offer for our Café Bar, rooftop terrace and events
• Developing our menus using fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients ensuring quality and consistency
• Working with the Catering Manager to ensure GP’s and budgets are met
• Ensuring full compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Excellent communication with our Kitchen and Café Bar team

Hours: This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week (this will include evening, weekend and bank holiday working)
