QUAD is looking for an inspirational leader to join the organisation as Interim CEO.

QUAD is an international centre for engagement in contemporary art and film. Based in Derby, our mission is to transform lives through active participation in art and film including exhibitions, cinema and wide-ranging education and creative activities.

About the role

QUAD is looking for an inspirational leader passionate about the power that lived experience of arts and culture brings to directly benefit all members of society.

Dynamic, hardworking, articulate and determined, the role holder will need to demonstrate vision and have extensive experience of translating a team’s ideas and energy into high impact delivery.

With excellent influencing skills, the post holder will need to motivate, encourage, and lead the delivery of our strategic objectives and goals with a real can-do attitude and an aptitude for creative problem solving.

Forward thinking and calm under pressure, we are seeking an individual with a proven track record of driving change and delivery. We are looking for an authentic, experienced leader with political influencing skills as well as strong character and resilience.

This role is based in Derby with potential travel across the East Midlands and England.

It is an interim ‘business turnaround’ role (initial 6 month period, subject to regular review), with a requirement for an immediate start.

Salary circa. £55 – £70k. This is a senior role and salary will be commensurate based upon proven track record of innovation, strategic planning, and people management.
