Job purpose

As Impact and Outreach Coordinator, you will be supporting the Together Films Distribution team on the theatrical and non-theatrical release campaigns for two films: THE 8TH and AHEAD OF THE CURVE. Both films highlight social issues and your job will be to research and identify groups, in particular the 18 to 24 year-old age range, that might be interested in organising or attending a screening event. This six month role has been part-funded by the BFI Audience Fund.

  • Accurately record the relevant contact details and supplemental information of those people, organisations and/or groups in an optimized spreadsheet. (Airtable & Streak)
  • Draft outreach copy to this list, tailoring the approach according to the recipient and writing in an engaging and informative way about the film and the social issue context; to engage them and get them excited about supporting.
  • Direct message individuals and organisations on social media as directed by your line manager
  • Monitor inbound email requests for screenings and tickets using an email monitoring system called Streak. Follow up with those who request a screening.
  • Liaise with screening hosts to organise screenings, ensuring that their details are recorded accurately in the systems so they can be invoiced promptly and they have all the information they need to host a successful screening.
  • Write a weekly report per film for your line manager, explaining progress and celebrating wins.
  • Feed into the thinking behind shareable social media assets in order to optimise their appeal to the 18 to 24yrs target audience.
  • Creating meeting agendas, with direction from your line manager
  • Creating additional materials for impact campaigns including social media kits and MailChimp newsletters.
  • Creating sequences for outreach under supervision of your line manager
  • Support the strategy team to collect evaluation information from screening hosts.
  • Write short form case studies on successful screenings to share on the TF blog and newsletter.
