Head of HR

Salary: circa £30,000 pro rata

The Centre for the Moving Image (CMI) incorporates Scotland’s leading independent cinema, Filmhouse, the world’s longest continually running film festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Filmhouse Café Bar, and the Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen.

We are looking to recruit a passionate and engaging Head of HR to look after our sites in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and provide an internal service that will support our continued success and growth. Our Edinburgh site also hosts the world-renowned Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) in June each year.

A highly motivated and driven individual with a passion for the arts, you’ll be commercially astute and have previous experience of generalist HR and a proven track record of positive impact. You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels and be able to adapt your style to suit your audience and love working in a fast paced environment.

The role will suit someone who wants to constantly improve how we do things to make them better for our business. You’ll be someone who transforms proposals into reality and have a track record of doing this elsewhere.

This is a part-time role (hours negotiable-in the range 15-20 hours per week).
