The BFI is looking for an entrepreneurial and creative Head of Enterprise to develop new opportunities that capitalise on the BFl’s assets commercially in new and existing markets.

In recent years the BFI has expanded its commercial activities to include a range of UK and international revenue streams in a diverse range of disciplines such as skills training, professional development, consultancy and HE partnerships.

Example of activities driving commercial revenue include:

  • Partnerships with UK Universities to provide student access to BFI Player – a VOD/SVOD service featuring classic British film content for the UK
  • Development of film skills training content to roll out in partnership with schools and professional bodies
  • Teacher training packages
  • International consultancy

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and creative Head of Enterprise to drive sustained growth in these existing ventures and develop new opportunities that capitalise on the BFl’s assets commercially in new and existing markets. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Enterprise and with a team of two, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering commercial success for the BFI.

Experience & Skills
  • Senior-level experience in the media/entertainment/IP sector, with experience of business development, commercial partnerships and direct­ to-consumer services
  • A track record of successful deal-making, product launches and hitting financial targets
  • Highly-developed people skills delivered with credibility and authority, adept at building relationships with people at all levels, influencing others and managing diverse stakeholder groups
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills applied to decision-making

The role is predominantly based at BFI Stephen Street, however, in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic all team members are currently working remotely from home until the foreseeable future.
