Trafalgar Releasing works with some of the world’s most renowned houses & companies; distributing high-profile arts content to cinemas worldwide from the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Opera House. Additionally distributing in the UK, content from the Bolshoi Ballet, Glyndebourne and The Metropolitan Opera.

A position has opened at the company for a Head of Classical Arts Marketing.

Your responsibilities to the company will be to manage the marketing and PR campaigns for Trafalgar Releasing projects across the company’s ‘Classical Arts’ slate.

Classical Arts for the Company are defined as releases across Theatre, Opera, Ballet, Musicals and the Arts. This role will sit across ‘seasonal content’ (The Royal Opera House, The Bolshoi Ballet, The Metropolitan Opera and Glyndebourne) alongside the company’s standalone releases within the genre (recent examples include cinematic releases of The King and I and An American in Paris).

Whilst the core activities of this role will sit within the Classical Arts the successful applicant will be supportive to the company’s requirements across the multiple genres represented by Trafalgar Releasing in the cinematic arena and will support non-Classical Arts projects as and when required.

For those projects that fall under this definition the Head of Classical Arts Marketing shall retain final responsibility for the successful delivery of the marketing and PR campaigns for the corresponding release.

The Head of Classical Arts Marketing shall have the assistance of other employees within the marketing department however it will be their responsibility to ensure duties are delegated appropriately with ultimate responsibility for completion remaining with this position.

This position reports directly to the company’s Director of Distribution.
