The BFI is looking for a looking for a Fund Manager: Sales, Distribution & Promotion to join their UK Global Screen Fund team.

The Fund Manager: Sales, Distribution & Promotion will be responsible for the provision of assessment for and management of the International Distribution Support strand of the UK Global Screen Fund (UKGSF), including Film Sales Support, Festival Launch Support and P&A Support strands, as well as any other UKGSF initiatives related to sales, promotion and distribution, such as the direct-to-consumer Screen UK platform.

This encompasses reading and assessing funding applications, in particular analysing sales forecasts and plans for films’ routes to market; developing outreach strategies to engage prospective companies across the UK screen sector with the Fund and with the BFI, as well as keeping abreast of new film releases and UK content and talent to be featured on the ScreenUK B2C platform.

Fixed Term Contract: until 25 July 2025

Key responsibilities include:

  • As part of the UKGSF team, read and assess international sales and distribution strategies in accordance with the application guidelines and funding priorities; work with industry experts and external consultants, as relevant; exercise good and fair judgment; and communicate responses to colleagues and applicants swiftly and confidently.
  • Analyse relevant financial and funding data for and synthesize findings in succinct and digestible format for senior Fund and BFI/ DCMS management; assist with Board and industry presentations, as required.
  • Identify and track professionals and companies suitable for potential funding and provide an environment to supported and prospective applicants to the fund which is built on expertise, trust, respect, inclusivity, enthusiasm and enquiry.
  • Broker domestic and international relationships with relevant companies, industry bodies and practitioners across screen sectors and in adjacent industries.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working across an international sales, distribution and/ or promotional capacity within the screen sector. This experience can include the management of public funds that relate to these activities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of international screen business, networks and potential opportunities for UK content.
  • Demonstrable experience of project assessment, and an ability to identify opportunities and challenges in written and produced work.
  • A track record of establishing contacts within the screen industry, developing strong relationships with relevant stakeholders both in the UK and internationally.
