Fund Executive (YACF)

Salary: £45,585 to £53,844 plus generous benefits package

The British Film Institute (BFI) is the UK’s lead organisation for film, television and the moving image. They are seeking a Fund Executive to provide expert assessment on a wide range of projects intended for Young Audiences up to the age of 18 for the BFI Young Audiences Content Fund (YACF).

Key Responsibilities

• Read and assess submissions for Production and / or Development projects in accordance with the application guidelines and funding priorities
• Develop outreach strategies to engage producers with the Fund and with the BFI and identify and track talent suitable for potential funding
• Broker relationships with producers, broadcasters and financiers, industry peers and practitioners in adjacent industries – and in particular, emerging media

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working in a production capacity within Film etc.
• Demonstrable experience of project assessment
• A track record of establishing contacts within the TV industry, developing strong relationships with talent.
• Demonstrable understanding and enthusiasm for the YACF’s strategic objectives and funding priorities

The role is predominantly based at BFI Manchester, however, in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic all team members are currently working remotely from home until the foreseeable future.
