Full Time Cinema Duty Manager

Salary: £14.80 p/hr

The Digital Picture House Ltd is looking for a dedicated and experienced full-time Duty Manager to work across its two cinema sites.

Role details

• Permanent
• 30 to 40 hours p/week

Shifts will be allocated according to a set rota, with a minimum of one shift per week at The Atrium, East Grinstead and is comprised of consistent and regular weekend and evening work. The ability to independently travel to both locations (Uckfield and East Grinstead) at off-peak times is essential. Candidates will also undertake any other duties as appropriate to their role.

Role responsibilities

This key role involves overseeing the smooth running and operation of our venues while on shift, including the management of the Front of House team, the technical presentation of films and live events, overseeing the production of high-quality food and ensuring that every customer has the best possible experience while visiting with us.

Person specifications

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a genuine love of film and a passion for providing excellent customer service. An ability to work collaboratively within a team and the flexibility to quickly adapt to the varying requirements of the business will be essential in this fast-paced environment. An upbeat, enthusiastic and hard-working attitude, along with a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure is central to the success of this role.

Experience in hospitality management is essential, with a high level of computer literacy preferred. The role is predominantly customer facing, with additional technical responsibilities, food preparation and reconciliation duties, so clear communication skills are required. Previous experience in the cinema or theatre sector would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
