Front of House Team Member

The Chiswick Cinema is seeking new members for their Front of House team who are customer-focused and committed to providing exceptional service to our members and guests.
Role details:
- Zero hour contract
- Permanent
- Some evening and weekend work will be required
Role responsibilities:
- Providing world-class customer service, adding that personal touch and ensuring all our customers leave happy and wanting to return to us
- Open and close all areas of the building safely and to the highest standard
- Be knowledgeable about the cinema’s offerings and facilities
- Cleaning the screens between each performance
- Ensure you are aware of the product we sell and the times of the films we are showing
- Have knowledge on the film classifications, and ensure they are enforced
- Ensure all screens are monitored for comfort levels and film piracy
- Ensure all areas of the cinema are cleaned to a high standard throughout the day including screens, toilets and back of house areas.
- Ensure all supporting paperwork is completed and signed off by a Duty manager
- Offer drink and snack recommendations upon request
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drink orders, using a POS ordering software
- Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
- Respond to customer complaints and queries and resolve them when you can.
- Be knowledgeable about the services and facilities Chiswick Cinema offers (including the memberships)
- Ensure you process all transactions correctly and in line with company policy
- Guide customers to the right screens and seats where necessary
- Follow food hygiene policies and Health and safety practices
- If there are any breaches of H&S policies, ensure management is informed
- Ensure all lost property is processed in the appropriate manner
- Attend staff meetings
Person Specifications:
- Exceptional and engaging customer service skills
- Passion for film and high-quality service
- Previous experience working with food and beverage is essential.
- Weekend availability, including Friday evenings, Saturdays & Sundays.
